Who We Are
BCL Nico United Sporting Club (Majombolo) is an association football club based in Selebi-Phikwe, Botswana, approximately 420 km from Gaborone. Founded in 1969 and named after the local copper and nickel-mining complex, our club first reached the Botswana Premier League in the 2004–05 season. We have since won the FA Challenge Cup twice, in 1986 and 1987, and currently compete in the Premier League.
In late 2025, ownership transitioned to 99.99 Sports, led by South African administrator Floyd Mbele, while retaining the club’s name, colors, location, and a minority stake for heritage continuity. This move supports access to women’s and youth teams for sustainable growth. Nico United plays home matches at Selebi-Phikwe Stadium, capacity 9,000.
